Owen Kane (Hugh 0‘Connor) attends the St. Kiaran's Reform School. A small boy for his age. Owen received little guidance and discipline from his family. When he meets Brother Michael Lamb (Liam Neeson), an instructor at the Roman Catholic school. He is able to finally find the love and support he needs. Brother Lamb disagrees with the strict and harsh punishment of the school. When Owen decides to run away. Brother Lamb supports him and joins him in his efforts to find his place in the world. With the school and the authorities searching for Brother Lamb and Owen, the two are forced to be on the run. Unfortunately, they are unaware of the tragedy that lies ahead. Will they ever find peace?

Lamb also stars Ian Bannen and Frances Tomelty.
