A recently widowed woman decides to take a holiday at her seaside retreat, where she hires an itinerant young handyman. The vulnerable and lonely woman is intensely drawn to her manipulative, mysterious new employee, and soon becomes involved in an affair. She has no idea that he is plotting against her life.
