Due to her husband's job Carol Turner (Valerie Harper) and family have to move from Phoenix to Denver their children are sent ahead to stay with an Aunt. In the meantime, Walter her husband (Michael Tolan) is called into work, so Carol decides to make the long overnight journey herself by car. During the journey she passes a yellow Mustang that has been pulled over by a traffic cop. She stops to ask the Police officer for help, whilst distracting the officer the driver (Richard Romanus) shoots and kills the cop.
Knowing Carol is a witness to the murder, he gives chase, and a long night of terror for Carol ensues.
An excellent suspense thriller.
